Other programs can be developed for a specific need, as identified by the respective County Extension Director and client.  The time taken to develop a program not listed here will take considerably more timeto prepare and schedule.  The inquiry should be made 4 to 6 months ahead.  (At this time –January 24, 2002–  Schindler’s goal is to develop future program on avoiding liability, solutions for junk accumulation problems, and training for zoning administrators.)
Schindler will not spend time to duplicate programs already developed by others on the MSU Extension Land Use Team.  In those cases the request may be forwarded to those who already have a program similar to that is being asked for.   In doing so MSU Extension will not duplicate programs which have already been developed by other reputable organizations, Michigan Association of Planning (MAP) (formerly Michigan Society of Planning, and formerly MSPO), Michigan Townships Association, and Michigan Municipal League.  MSU Extension Land Use Team has an understanding with MAP that it will seek to partner and work with that organization to avoid duplication.  Several of MAP's planning and zoning programs can be taught by Extension persons.
